Dr. Nathan Bridge joined the Chiropractic Works team in 2005 after running a busy practice in Sydney and lecturing and tutoring at Macquarie University. Nathan’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic.
Nathan has served on the Chiropractors Association of Australia NSW Executive Board, the Executive Board of the Gonstead Chiropractic Society, has been the Far North Qld Regional Co-ordinator for the Chiropractors Association of Australia QLD and is a current Governor of the Sydney College of Chiropractic. Nathan is a regular and sought after speaker on health topics around Far North Queensland.
In private practice Nathan has earned a reputation for helping many people. He looks after people of all ages and walks of life and has performed additional training in the assessment and treatment of Scoliosis. He has a keen interest in all things about health, keeps up to date with the latest information and has dedicated a large part of his life to keeping fit and helping his patients improve their health.
Dr Rachel McEwan has been looking after members of the Cairns community for 12 years. Originally from Central Victoria, she moved to Melbourne where she completed her chiropractic degree at RMIT with distinction.
Rachel is passionate about helping people achieve their maximum potential and has a special interest in women’s health.
Rachel regularly attends seminars and workshops to increase her knowledge and skill set for the benefit of patients including specialised scoliosis rehabilitation training (SEAS), Gonstead extremity adjusting certification and the Inspiral paediatric seminar series. Rachel is a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association.
When Rachel isn’t in the office you might find her hanging upside somewhere, honing her aerial circus skills.
Dr. Chris Bannon considers himself to be a lifelong student. His 9 years of university has provided him with an extensive knowledge base on how the body works and how to improve health and function.
Chris graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Chiropractic and a Bachelor of Applied Clinical Science. Prior to this accomplishment he studied Human Kinetics for 4 years at the University of Windsor, in Canada. Remarkably, Chris has maintained his thirst for knowledge and continues his education by regularly attending seminars on paediatrics, nutrition and chiropractic.
Dr. Chris is committed to serving the Cairns and Mareeba community. He is passionate about not only helping people get out of pain, but also keeping people well. His mission is to improve the health and quality of life of families without the use of drugs or surgery.
Dr. Kate Smallwood has always had a healthy lifestyle being involved in many sports and loves exploring the wonderful backyard Far North Queensland has to offer.
She has always had interest in how the human body works and the importance of the nervous system through growth and development. These interests lead Kate to 7 years of study, undertaking a Sport and Exercise Science degree and then a Bachelor of Chiropractic, graduating from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Kate is a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA) and the Australian Gonstead Chiropractic Society. Kate is always undertaking seminars to gain more information and learn new skills. She has completed many seminars in infant and childhood development, including courses on tongue and lip ties, and their impact on development.
Dr Kate’s true passion is working with pregnant mothers through their journey pre and post birth, as well as working with children allowing them to develop and grow as healthily as possible.

Dr Yanika was born in Thailand and moved to Australia while she was a teenager. Yanika completed her study in Melbourne for her bachelor's degree of clinical chiropractic and master of chiropractic at RMIT. Prior to this Yanika completed a degree in health science specialising in the human anatomy and physiology.
Yanika has previously worked at a Gonstead clinic in Melbourne and is fascinated by how the human body works and how the body develops from birth to aging.
She loves sports, in particular basketball and tennis. Outside the clinic you will find her sipping coffee at a local cafe, food tasting or working out at the gym.
Yanika is a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association (ACA) and the Autralian Gonstead Chiropractic Society.
Her goal as a Chiropractor is to help people help themselves to reach their optimal health and have great experiences in life. Yanika believes health is your greatest wealth!
Colin Smallwood joined the Chiropractic Works team mid 2015 after vigorously juggling a career as a trade’s person while completing his studies. Colin’s true passion is massage, and we are excited to have his skills as part of Chiropractic Works.
Colin has an array of hobbies, including surfing, diving, bush walking and photography, and has a great understanding of the body, and what is needed for us to live life to the fullest.
Colin’s passion for massage is broad, and he fully believes a healthier person means a healthier and happier community.
Colin also sees clients in Mareeba on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
Manabu was born in Sendai, Japan and after practicing as a physiotherapist and working in medical clinics in Japan, Manny’s passion for horse racing brought him to Australia in 2001. In the mornings, you will find him at the race track and for the remainder of the day you will be able to see Manny and draw on his knowledge to help relieve your tension and tightness.
Manny has his Diploma in Massage Therapy and is trained in Dry Needling. As a massage therapist, Manny enjoys working alongside our chiropractors using his bodywork skills to help people move and feel better.
Tegan, Pieta, Sandra, Gabby, Claire, Leanne, Maddie and Cheryl are the awesome team that work at the front desk and behind the scenes to keep our office running smoothly.
