Dr. Nathan Bridge joined the Chiropractic Works team in 2005 after running a busy practice in Sydney and lecturing and tutoring at Macquarie University. Nathan’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Master of Chiropractic.
Nathan has served on the Chiropractors Association of Australia, NSW Executive Board, the Executive Board of the Gonstead Chiropractic Society, is a current Governor on the Sydney College of Chiropractic, and the Far North Qld Regional Co-ordinator for the Chiropractors Association of Australia QLD. Nathan is a regular and sought after speaker on health topics around Far North Queensland.
In private practice Nathan has earned a reputation for helping many people with a variety of problems. He looks after people of all ages and walks of life and is highly trained in the assessment and treatment of Scoliosis. He has a keen interest in all things about health, keeps up to date with the latest information and has dedicated a large part of his life to keeping fit and relieving this patients' pain and improving their health.
Dr Rachel McEwan has been looking after members of the Cairns community for 10 years. Originally from Central Victoria, she moved to Melbourne where she completed her chiropractic degree at RMIT with distinction.
Rachel is passionate about helping people achieve their maximum potential and has a special interest in women’s health.
Rachel regularly attends seminars and workshops to increase her knowledge and skill set for the benefit of patients including specialised scoliosis rehabilitation training (SEAS), Gonstead extremity adjusting certification and the Inspiral paediatric seminar series. Rachel is a member of the Chiropractors Association of Australia.
When Rachel isn’t in the office you might find her hanging upside somewhere, honing her aerial circus skills.
Dr. Chris Bannon considers himself to be a lifelong student. His 9 years of university has provided him with an extensive knowledge base on how the body works and how to improve health and function.
Chris graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Chiropractic and a Bachelor of Applied Clinical Science. Prior to this accomplishment he studied Human Kinetics for 4 years at the University of Windsor, in Canada. Remarkably, Chris has maintained his thirst for knowledge and continues his education by regularly attending seminars on paediatrics, nutrition and chiropractic.
Dr. Chris is committed to serving the Cairns and Mareeba community. He is passionate about not only helping people get out of pain, but also keeping people well. His mission is to improve the health and quality of life of families without the use of drugs or surgery.
Dr. Kate Matthison has always had a healthy lifestyle being involved in many sports and loves exploring the wonderful backyard Far North Queensland has to offer.
She has always had interest in how the human body works and the importance of the nervous system through growth and development. These interests lead Kate to 7 years of study, undertaking a Sport and Exercise Science degree and then a Bachelor of Chiropractic, graduating from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Kate is a member of the Chiropractors Association of Australia (CAA) and the Australian Gonstead Society. Kate is always undertaking seminars to gain more information and learn new skills. She has completed many seminars in infant and childhood development, including courses on tongue and lip ties, and their impact on development.
Dr Kate’s true passion is working with pregnant mothers through their journey pre and post birth, as well as working with children allowing them to develop and grow as healthily as possible.

Dr Evan Romanowitch is a world traveller and has lived in five different countries. He has always been involved with his community, volunteering and working with children around the world. Evan loves sport and with a strong competitive spirit has played at highest level of athletics, volleyball and soccer.
Evan has studied for 9 years in 3 different counties. He initially achieved his Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario, Canada, then pursued his chiropractic career by enrolling at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, Master’s program. He then transferred from the United Kingdom to Auckland, New Zealand where he obtained his Bachelor of Chiropractic from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
Evan understands how chiropractic care can help a person reach their optimum potential, allowing their body to function at its best regardless of age or ability. His goal is to help create a healthier and happier community through chiropractic care.
Colin Smallwood joined the Chiropractic Works team mid 2015 after vigorously juggling a career as a trade’s person while completing his studies. Colin’s true passion is massage, and we are excited to have his skills as part of Chiropractic Works.
Colin has an array of hobbies, including surfing, diving, bush walking and photography, and has a great understanding of the body, and what is needed for us to live life to the fullest.
Colin’s passion for massage is broad, and he fully believes a healthier person, means a healthier and happier community.
Colin also sees clients in Mareeba on the first Wednesday of the month.
Manabu was born in Sendai, Japan and after practicing as a physiotherapist and working in medical clinics in Japan, Manny’s passion for horse racing brought him to Australia in 2001. In the mornings, you will find him at the race track and for the remainder of the day you will be able to see Manny and draw on his knowledge to help relieve your tension and tightness.
Manny has his Certificate IV in Massage Therapy and is currently completing his diploma. Manny enjoys working alongside our chiropractors using his bodywork skills to help people move and feel better.
Rochelle has grown up in a family full of passion for sport and fitness. Growing up between Darwin & Sydney with her parents in the army, she moved back to hometown Cairns 10 years ago.
Rochelle has used her love for fitness and sport to complete her Certificate 3 in Fitness and is excited to complete a University degree in Sports Physiology to further extend her knowledge and continue to do her very best in helping people improve their fitness abilities.
Rochelle has played competitive soccer for the past 11 years. Her other interests include swimming and exploring the beautiful FNQ outdoors with her dog.
As our Rehab specialist, Rochelle enjoys the results of getting patients moving and stretching again. She will teach you how to get strong, fit and flexible to improve your overall health and fitness and reduce the chance of being reinjured.
